About Us - The Christian Educators Network

OOOFounded in 1996, the Christian Educators Network evolved from a small teacher’s prayer group at Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The mission of the Christian Educators Network has remained the same since its inception: to intercede in prayer corporately and individually for schools, families, communities, and nations. The foundational scripture is Ezekiel 22:30.

“I sought for a man among them, that should make up
the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land…”

OOOThe Christian Educators Network, directed by Linda Ross Brown, is supported by a small, but powerful Intercessory Prayer Team consisting of teachers from various schools and a retired school nurse. Current members of the Intercessory Prayer Team are: Linda Ross Brown, Roger Hatfield, Norma Bonner, Debbie Liddle, Lynn Woodward, and Marla Roebuck. This dedicated team of Christians intercedes in prayer and assists in planning the organization’s Annual Prayer Breakfast. The Intercessory Prayer Team was originally comprised of seven people, but Geri Lee went home to be with the Lord in 2004. Geri, along with Linda Ross Brown, was also co-organizer of the Annual Breakfast Services.

OOOIn 2003, the Christian Educators Network became an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation. In 2004, Geneva College of Beaver Falls, PA, became a leading sponsor of the network’s yearly major event, the Annual Prayer Breakfast. For eleven years, God has faithfully blessed every Prayer Breakfast through the power and presence of His Holy Spirit. Each Prayer Breakfast Service features a guest speaker; ministers from various churches; adults and students offering prayers; nationally known mime artists and musicians; and people from the community, numerous schools, and churches. A list of the Prayer Breakfasts can be found after the contact information.
